How to activate a licence
From the button in the email or by pasting the key into the app.
After purchase you receive an email with your licence key and an Activate button.
From the email button
- Install the software from its page in the catalogue.
- Open the email on the Mac where the app is installed and press Activate.
- The activation page opens the app with key and email already filled in.
The key only travels in the part of the address after the # sign, which the browser never sends to the server.
By pasting the key
- Open the app and go to the licence screen.
- Paste the key exactly as received (upper or lower case, spaces and dashes are all accepted) together with the purchase email.
- Confirm: the app checks the key online and registers this device.
If activation fails
- Invalid key: make sure you copied all of it and are using it with the right software.
- Device limit reached: free a seat by following Moving the licence to another Mac.
- Lost key: use Recover your licences.
